PNW FAQ
Doesn’t it rain all the time??
Quite possible. But PNW rain is typically very light. Wet season begins in October, though last year was dry into November. The reception will be under a covered and heated pavilion, though the ceremony is scheduled to be open-air. We will work with the venue in the event of heavy rain to try and relocate, but encourage bringing a jacket and shoes that can get a little damp.
What is the dress code?
Somewhere between Formal and Semi-Formal, we’re going for a ‘midnight apothecary’ vibe. Dark gem tones, forest flora, Professor Plum in the conservatory with a candlestick. Listen to Sharon Van Etten’s Jupiter 4 and let it guide your selection.
If you don’t have a jacket, we can live with it. Bolo ties and bold prints are welcome.
We recommend block heels over stilettos as you will need to walk over grass to get to the ceremony location. Long dresses will most likely be better for the weather.
Will there be transportation from Skamania Lodge to nearby hotels?
No. If you plan to imbibe, please consider staying at the lodge as there are likely no Ubers in the area. There is ample parking at the lodge for wedding guests who prefer to drive.
